What format

I have an old Xbox One hard drive that i want to jerry rig into a pc. How would i go about this? What file system does Xbox One use?

Is it external? Then it's USB 3.0, and windows should be able to format it.

Not sure, but shouldn't he be able to do a low-level format, partition, then format NTFS?

That's my thought as well, once you get windows to see it, the rest is just software

Assuming you can format and install some kind of OS, then I don't see why not

Yea, just as the two previous post have said, as long as the machine "sees" it and you are able to format it then you should be able to use it as a boot device.  I would use the Windows Media Creation Tool for that job.
