So my ultrawide and my 4k 50" tv were working fine together, but i didn't like the scaling on the 4k tv, so i had to disable custom scaling so i can do the scaling for each display individually, but when i did that both displays went black, the only way to get my ultrawide to display again is if i unplugged the 4k tv. Does anybody know how i can fix this?

Does my second display have to be connected to see it, cause that option is not there?

Yes needs to be connected. It'll be under display options. On Windows, right-click the desktop and select display settings.

It may go black, which seems to indicate it's out of range, but Winddows should still see it, it's looking for the electronic signature.

They're both plugged in via hdmi cables. They both work on custom scaling, but then it scales for all displays not individual displays. They only go black when i turn custom scaling off.

Already looked at that exact article before coming here and the slider is not there when custom scaling is on and like i said when i disable custom scaling it makes both displays go black if the second display is plugged in.

Hmmm....I have no idea then, sounds like the PC doesn't like changing the settings on the TV display. Sorry I can't be more help. Maybe contact the manufacturer of the TV and ask them for guidance?

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.
