ios update question

haifisch

Hello everyone,

I've got two iphone 5s's, one of them stucked on 9.3.5, the other one is updated to 10.3.2. I'd like to update both of them to 10.3.3. How do I do that without jailbreaking? I don't want to update them to ios 11, because I'm afraid of slowdowns and lags.

Thanks for your help in advance

You can't, unless you saved blob thingies, IDK how that works though (ask @themctipers). Basically, Apple has stopped signing for 10.3.3 unless that's the max your device supports (for example, they will still sign iOS 9.3.5 for a 4S, but not any newer phone). So you have to stay on 9 or go all the way to 11.

I've got a 5s with ios 11.0.1 and its not slow or laggy ;p

Well that better be true as I have only one shot right? :D Or can I still rollback after I updated to 11.0.1?

There will be no slowness or laggyness from updating to IOS 11. This update is better optimised for Apple's devices, so the latest update wouldnt be a problem.

you can go to ios 10.3.3 on iphone 5s www.ipsw.me go there and select device and download ios 10.3.3 and install via itunes

Are these official releases from apple? The site claims to do the following:

"All information on these pages is auto updated at least every minute. When you click on any Apple Software link on the site, you are redirected to an Apple server. We do not (and never will) mirror these files. "

If that's the case, why doesn't apple have these links on their website?

Sorry for the stupid questions, and also, if I'm doing this, all I have to do is connect my phone to itunes and restore to the downloaded .ipsw file?

For how long does apple sign these versions?

If Apple isn't signing it though, it won't work.

What happens if it doesn't work? Do I have a bricked phone?

It wont let you install it if they are not signing it. **I think***

I tried it, it just says that version of iOS is not valid or something. You may have to reinstall iOS 11, but I don't think it bricks the phone.
