I am having a problem when I start my PC, it goes into prepare automatic repairing. When I try to refresh my pc it says the drive where window installed is locked. When I try to reset my pc it says unable to reset your pc a required drive partition is missing. I can not get to the windows desktop and I recently changed the SATA cable for my SSD and HDD and SATA slot. I don't know if this affects anything. My pc worked this morning. Also, I installed my windows on an M.2 SSD.

Plug the drives back into the same SATA ports they were and try again.....most bootloaders can see changes in port order. but it's possible that the Windows loader doesn't see yours

also doublecheck any secure boot options that were enabled, as it could be protected there

Just now, Valkyrie Lenneth said:

if u have changed ur sata port , it could be u just need to change ur main hdd to the one with the windows installation aka , boot that first to avoid conflict

make sure u have them set in proper boot order

I just unplugged my SSD and HDD leave the only m.2 SSD on the motherboard and it worked!!! lol Should I just plug back my HDD and SSD to the same SATA port or change it back to where I originally plugged?

no all u have to do is set your m2 sata ssd to HDD number 1 / boot device = M2 SATA drive

plug in all the drives and make sure that m2 sata is set as MASTER/main drive ( first boot option )
