What is a cheap way to have an outdoor projector screen? I use the garage, but the bumps in the garage distort the image a small bit, some light from the street lights shines on it, and I don't like cars driving past because someone could just jump out and hold up a gun and steal the projector equipment. I'm looking to put the movie in the backyard instead, but there's no good place, as the siding distorts the image even more than the garage, and I was considering hanging up large bedsheet, but I'm thinking it might blow around in the wind, and with a google search, it turns out sheets make bad projector screens. Any ideas?

Build a cheap frame and backing with 2x4s and plywood. Then get either pure white sheets or projector screen and line the plywood with that. Maybe put wheels on it so when you aren't using it you can put it inside a shed or garage.

My friend's brother built something like this near their pool and would have people over to watch movies. It works and it's cheap and easy to build. Just need a truck and a trip to the hardware store.

You could probably just paint the plywood white
