For some reason, my screens went black during watching some YT vids, while nothing was hogging any PC resources in the background.
I had to reset my PC 2 days ago since there is this weird windows bug that sets your screen to 64hz while being 60hz screens.
Combined with watchdog timer errors that were attributed to a possible virus, but I just wiped the C drive and did a fresh install.

This time my screen just went black and when attempting to shut down the PC with the power button or reset button the pc did not respond.
I had to turn off the PC by using the PSU off/on the switch and boot up again what does without a problem.

I am running an overlock on my AMD 1600 chip, but that was validated with Prime95 and Cinebench so it should be stable.
3.9Ghz @ 1.384mv on the chip with a 240 AIO cooler from Coolermaster.
Google says a range of different things, could be the motherboard could be something else.
Anyone here has any good idea's to figure out what is going on?

Cheers,

Probably want to blame the GPU drivers

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Got any idea how I can troubleshoot this?

Use the DDU and install older drivers

If you reinstalled windows and are still having issues your PC is possessed

Firstly try without OverClock because sometimes Overclocking also gives problems like this...

Yeh I am aware of this but i am not crazy on the OC either, well the chip is good and does not take a lot of MV and I did validate it.
I am now running a lower Mhz on the RAM see if that helps though, the screens do go black but do not lock up the whole PC when testing ram OC.

Running is at base frequency when it boots I will have to manually apply a preset OC when i star gaming on a ROG Strix 1080ti.
