So today i bought an elgato hd60 pro , i installed it fine and when i plugged in the hdmi the screen was acting like two screens instead of of one , so i went into display settings and changed it from its default to only one after doing so my monitor went black and said dvi signal lost  , so basically to get my elgato to work i need to plug the hdmi into the graphics card  and into the in port on the card but doing so black screens me so i cant do anything to revert the changes i made any help on to fix this

thanks :)

By the sounds of this instead of setting the displays to duplicate which is what you would want you set it to 1 only or 2 only (Whichever it may be). Does your monitor have a HDMI in? I am assuming not and I don't know how to change it but that sounds like whats happening.

I have seen before HDMI to DVI that you could use to go from the out on the Elgato (Which I assume it has) and that is what I think would be the easiest setup because then it would always record exactly whats on the monitor which is what it sounds like you are trying to do.

Hmm... As far as I know, you somehow have to see the output on the Elgato to navigate back to the settings. Is there a TV or something you can use temporarily until you can get it fixed?

What I did is I'm going to system restore back to before I messed it up and hopefully can fix it from there @Megagaming073

Okay try that and let me know how it goes from there. (I won't be responding again until tomorrow morning since it's 12:30 AM for me and I need sleep) So best of luck until then!

It didnt work but goonight man @Megagaming073

Okay. I didn't think so but it was worth a shot. Do you have any screen with a HDMI in? If so you can use that to see the output on Elgato and work from there. Other than that I'm not sure how to reset the display settings.
