Good, durable earphones.

How are you breaking them?

I adore my Logitech UE6000's.  They've been discontinued for a couple years, but you can still find them on ebay.

The way I usually end up killing headphones is by messing up one end of the cable and losing audio on one side, so find a set of headphones with a removable cable.  At that point it's just a matter of getting another 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable.

SFF-ish:  Ryzen 5 1600X, Asrock AB350M Pro4, 16GB Corsair LPX 3200, Sapphire R9 Fury Nitro -75mV, 512gb Plextor Nvme m.2, 512gb Sandisk SATA m.2, Cryorig H7, stuffed into an Inwin 301 with rgb front panel mod.  LG27UD58.

Aging Workhorse:  Phenom II X6 1090T Black (4GHz #Yolo), 16GB Corsair XMS 1333, RX 470 Red Devil 4gb (Sold for $330 to Cryptominers), HD6850 1gb, Hilariously overkill Asus Crosshair V, 240gb Sandisk SSD Plus, 4TB's worth of mechanical drives, and a bunch of water/glycol.  Coming soon:  Bykski CPU block, whatever cheap Polaris 10 GPU I can get once miners start unloading them.

MintyFreshMedia:  Thinkserver TS130 with i3-3220, 4gb ecc ram, 120GB Toshiba/OCZ SSD booting Linux Mint XFCE, 2TB Hitachi Ultrastar.  In Progress:  3D printed drive mounts, 4 2TB ultrastars in RAID 5.

Would you consider the Sony MDR7506 ?  They're ~$130 CDN, are built like a tank, and are considered "reference headphones" in the "biz".

I'm ordering the MDR7510, as I kill foldable hinges.  Here are some references to check out...

Tekthing, 2017 quick video... $100 headphones.

Wirecutter article...

Happy shopping, eh!

btw - what I can say is DO NOT waste your money on the PSB M4U-2 headphones.  Maybe I got a lemon, but they were poorly constructed... for three hundred bucks!

I got my first set of AIAIAI just over a year ago, and they are really great.  If you need to replace a part, you only need to go back and order the 1 part you want to replace.  Plus you can start out with a cheaper prebuilt pair from amazon, and slowly upgrade as your budget allows.  I've kept my original parts from the prebuilt, and I still use them -especially if I go to a LAN party or travel on a plane, and keep the good parts at home, safe.

How are you breaking them? Physically destroying the headband, killing the hinges, cable pulled out, etc.?

Yes, enquiring minds wanna know!. Most important is how the heck did you 'break' them? If it's due to pulling on the cable, perhaps an IEM with replaceable cable would be one solution, though the best advice I can give is for you to start being more careful with them.I use my Senfer 4in1, a cheap ChiFi IEM, which has a metalic shell and replaceable cable (MMCX) but I have yet to 'break' them as they (I have two of them) are pretty resilient and I guess I'm somewhat more careful with them than you are with yours.

I often see replaceable cables on $15 earbuds (like the KZ ZST) and it boggles my mind because you may as well buy an entirely new pair at this point.

I know people will flame me for this, but Skullcandy has some amazingly tough headphones under $30 (Skullcandy Navigator):

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B009RXUCDG/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1506783894&sr=8-3&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=Skullcandy+Navigator&dpPl=1&dpID=41wj41HdEgL&ref=plSrch

And they sound pretty good too!

Although you may as well buy an Audio Technica M40x:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B016YKB8ZU/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1506784156&sr=8-1-spons&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=audio+technica+m40x&psc=1&smid=A9VBWN1Q1U6E6

And if you're talking about earbuds, then you should really use a case! They can be easily found under $3 on Amazon. They will easily triple the lifespan of your earbuds.
