Hey there, I want a web file server I can access from anywhere online. I'm not sure the requirements for the server though. Max number of people being served is only 20 people. I have enough bandwidth (780mb down, 670mb up) I'll probably be using windows server 2016. Budget 200USD (please account for shipping to US) also can someone tell me how to set up this kind of server.

Couldn't this be handled by Dropbox or any of the other file sharing sites? If storage is an issue, the expenses for more storage are less than a physical server.

nah, I need 3-5tb way more than what google drive, dropbox or onedrive caps out at. lets do some math 6.99 for 1TB per month for OneDrive, the cheapest of all. 7 times 4 (for 4TB) is 28. 28 times 12 is 336. $336 just for a year. I could get a server for $150 and it would last me for years to come.

funny, my work GDrive doesn't HAVE a cap. Unlimited storage.

LOL you'd have to ask my Director of IT for that answer! It's part of the Google Business suite of applications. Lots of things in there. I'm sure it isn't cheap, but i'm sure it beats the hell out of managing your own secure servers for 2000+ employees stretched over 300 offices coast to coast in NA
