Boot drive suggestion please

Currently I have a single drive for my gaming rig, https://www.samsung.com/us/computing/memory-storage/solid-state-drives/ssd-960-evo-m-2-500gb-mz-v6e500bw/

I am going to get a boot drive, and am pretty much decided on the following spec:

 

1. SSD Sata 3 6GB

2. 120GB

3. very fast read/write

 

The boot drive will just have windows and page file on.

Can anyone reccomend a decent SSD for this use please as I have no idea about them.

I'd just use the one you have as a boot drive. It's large enough to hold everything in already.

 

Also, as a boot drive, SATA SSDs and NVMe SSDs perform the same. Basically, anything that's an SSD will shorten the boot time to a certain level. How fast it actually is doesnt matter to Windows it seems.

yes I am only doing to gain a little more storage on my M.2 and feel I am doing it 'right' - many people are telling me to have it all on the M.2 is not a good thing.
