So I'm writing a report about email encryption but I'm really struggling to find good information on the topic.

The main topic focus is email encryption for businesses, so far what I've found is that there's two types of encryption for email transport, public key and symmetric key and that symmetric key is far harder to break and that public key is best used for transporting symmetric keys. I pretty much need to know if I'm on the right track, I'm completely wrong or there's more types I don't know about that are better suited for businesses and not just personal emailing.

If anyone with good knowledge on this could chime in or possibly link me to an article it would be really appreciated.
