I need a good USB blu ray player, i had to remove my 5.25" drive bay for radiator support, and i cant plug it in with SATA anyways (6 ports on board, 4 taken up by raid setup, other 2 disabled with my m.2 SSD) and i want to be able to watch blu rays on my computer

any good suggestions?

SATA to USB adapter? I've done that when my friend wanted to create restore DVDs for his Ultrabook.

I personally use SATA to USB adpaters for all my external storage. I get sick of the slow drives that get put in pre-made USB enclosures.

However for CDs, I actually just run a SATA cable to the MBO.

i cant do that, all my ports are used, 4 for my raid array, and 2 are disabled because of sata m.2, it diables ports 5 and 6, plus, i have a 360mm rad on top, and i dont have room to put my 5.25" drive cage with a drive back into it

I read that before I posted that response, however you should still be able to get a USB to SATA adapter for a CD drive or a USB blu-ray drive for fairly low cost. The only reason I haven't bought a USB 5.25" enclosure is that I use a CD drive about 2 times a year. In comparison I use my 2.5" and mSATA enclosures a few times a week, so it made more sense for me to buy those enclosures, and plug the CD drive into a SATA port. Your situation is different, I was trying to let you know that the USB to SATA converters work well, but have no experience of using them with cd drives.
