Asus ROG Claymore DISCONTINUED???

roblesaturcamilo

So i have been trying to buy this keyboard for the last month or so, and nobody has it on stock.

Some sites even removed it completely...

After a bit of research, i saw a lot of people complaining about it being defective from factory, some keys malfunctioning or not working at all... i still want it... LOL

Does anyone know if it got discontinued or something? Anyone willing to sell it to me? USA...

Thank you guys! :)

Strange. I found it here in NZ.

Its quite possibly been discontinued, as it was in stock in their stores earlier this week. ATM its only in stock with their supplier. Also its hella expensive compared to other offerings.

because alternate (rather proudly?) doesnt join in price hiking. they keep a very stabile "this is the price we ordered it at, insert formuma, this is the price its selling at" approach.

its why i like going there so much :D

For me, the claymore costs $370NZ, a Strafe RGB (Cherry silents) costs $270, A strafe RGB (Cherry red/brown) costs $230, and a Logitech G610 (cherry brown) costs $170.

For me at least thats a fairly big price difference. The prices seem to be fairly similar between alternate and my local retailers.

A strafe RGB (Cherry brown) from alternate costs 155eur (275NZ), the claymore costs 230eur (375NZ). For me at least that seems a fairly big price difference, considering you're getting a detachable num pad and aura. Not sure if there are any other differences, feel free to enlighten me :). This makes the claymore better value, but only due to the other offerings being more expensive.

It's weird to see that in other countries they still have it, while in the US it's completely gone...

is the only piece lacking to complete my rog setup

Totally fair enough. I've done that quite a bit. I'm a real sucker for buying expensive things when a cheap one would do, mainly cos they are nice to use or something.

I actually made my old Saitek Eclipse Aura compatible with some WS2812 led strip. Powered the strip off USB and ran the single line control in some custom sleeeving with the USB back to the tower. Although I couldn't concentrate whenever the colors were changing, so it ended up being a fixed rainbow effect.

Only issue was that it remained on when I switched the computer off.
