I'm trying to install Windows 7 through a bootable USB drive, but when the first phase finishes loading, the computer reboots normally but then I have to start again. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Installing this OS has been a complete hassle since I first tried.

CRT monitors FTW.

The first two images show the step I mentioned.

The third one shows when it starts again...

@Valkyrie Lenneth I am 99% sure that it isn't because of the USB.

I have a theory, but I don't know if it's true.

when it says, system is restarting in X amount of seconds u can already unplug the usb sticki ^^ / remove the install media, then it will continue without a cycle back to the install menu ( because it will boot that friggen usb stickie first ofc if its inserted )

yeah everything below windows 10 needs to removed xD

Okay, I'll keep that in mind for the next time. Now I also read that new motherboards aren't perfectly compatible with older OSs, because of a USB ports issue.

enable legacy usb support eliminates this issue

its because some boards dont come with legacy support enabled

Alright then, one more thing...

Should I update?

Is it normal for Windows 7 to take almost 40GB of storage?

So, if it works, don't fix it, right?

What about the 40GB it's taking from my SSD? Is it normal?

Windows 7 Professional, OEM. No bloatware, no antivirus.

ahhh wait u said u got a clean install right? its using some of that space for system protection and virtual memory ( paging file )\

if u got enough ram, disable virtual memory for clearing up some space, system protection is just restore points , can also be disabled coz usually if u have a real issue restore wont help u for shit

@Valkyrie Lenneth Hey, sorry, only one more thing, what USB ports should I use for my peripherals?
