So lately i have been researching into the gaming pc department and am currently planning a build. However, i have trouble looking for compatibility and accessibility within my parts (motherboard, pci express slots, etc.)

Help?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/26POu

Im going for the most of $2000 Thanks!

Also if people could give me basics on installing os's on my computer and using ssd with hdd that would be great!

Why you getting a 7970 6GB for $580?

Edit: Get the R9 290, it's basically the "X" version but it will save you money. So that's $400 instead of $580 and you get mantle. Plus, you won't be able to use all 6GB because then your GPU will hold you back

There are 10 types of people in this world, those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Blue mobo with red ram. I question your sanity...

If you're not in a hurry, wait for aftermarket 290's instead of a 780.

Okay this is the revised list http://pcpartpicker.com/p/2eCLo

However i do not have much knowledge in term of checking for compatibility (will the video card go in the slot, do we have enough space for the hdd, etc.)

Any help??

Everything checks out compatibility wise.

Are you open to using a different case?

Do you really need bluray? Most people don't even need an optical drive.

Why 16GB ram?

The psu is overkill for 1 290 and a bit tight for 2.
