Ryzen 1600 problem

Hi

I have problem with oc my ryzen 1600

i set a core voltage to 1.325 and LLC TO MODE 8 ( this is problem)

when cpu is in idle its show me 1.352 vcore

when i start aida64 bench its show 1.325-1.336

the idle vcore is good or what ? ( when llc is auto i have freaze in test on 40 sec sometimes)

You seem like you use extreme LLC and that is wrong.

What system do you have? Could you create a Parts List at pcpartpicker.com and link it here?

 

To what frequency are you trying to overclock? What options do you have with LLC? If MODE 8 is the highest setting, that's very dangerous.

at the same vcore even mode 7 freeze for me.

on auto i need to set 1.4v to have 3.8 ghz

yea mode 8 is last setting

Depending on what frequency you're trying, that voltage is safe. Temperature is more of a concern. As long as the Package (cpu) temperature doesn't reach 80c or higher, you're fine. Voltage drops and spikes is normal, and those small changes aren't bad at all. The 1.288v in the screenshot above is a bit low, however. LLC can be used to stabilize voltage drops and spikes, but just don't use Extreme or the highest settings.

 

I run my Ryzen 5 1600 at 3.8GHz at 1.35v. I can also reach 3.9GHz at 1.4125v (but I consider above 1.4v for 24/7 use a bit much).

mem frequency is ok.

Does the BIOS let you to change switching frequency

Could you plz elaborate a lil more, what's your MB and are you overclocking? are you using the default BIOS settings?

in bios i have vcore to 1.337 here show 1.368

But 1.368 is fine for ryzen and 3.8 ghz ? And can u tell me a good app for monitoring vcore ? Cpu-z is fine or hwmonitor ?
