I am fixing a friend's xbox one as it is having troubles reading discs. It will not read game discs nor movie discs without an error message. I can hear the drive wind up, then it will wind down after 3 seconds and it keeps doing this and so on. So this leads me to think the drive is dead (Tell me if you think otherwise.) So I have no idea where to find replacement drives so I do need help with that please. Also, I believe when I replace the drive, I am suppose to remove the PCB from the dead disc drive and solder the old PCB on the new drive. Is this correct? Thanks!

Summary:

1. Is it the drive that is most likely dead? -- Read paragraph uptop

2. Where can I find a replacement drive?

3. How do I replace the drive? -- Read last sentence in paragraph

Note: I have been studying a ton tonight so sorry if the format is really off and if my grammar is terrible :/
