So, I bought a Revolt 2 from iBuyPower. It has a GA-Z170N-Gaming5 motherboard inside it as well as a Asetek 550LC 120mm AIO. The thing is, as you see in the "System Fan Connection" images, the system fan has this weird connection to it.

It's not connected to the motherboard like in the "System Fan, CPU Fan" images, it looks like it's spliced into a power supply cable or something. The two connected into those headers are the CPU Fan and what I assume is the AIO.

I'm really not sure how they did this or if it's even possible to change this as I want to change the 120mm to a 140mm fan as my system fan.

I could just cut the System Fan away from the cable it's connected and see if I can remove whatever is in the System Fan header while hoping for the best. Before I did anything I thought that it would be best to share this hear to see if anyone can help figure out this weird setup.

Any help or suggestions would be great.

That is just a 12v fan(3 pin fan) plugged into a molex connector. I'm guessing your motherboard only has 2 fan headers. They can be replaced.

So I could remove the 3 pin fan from the connector and it'll be fine to try and put something in it's place?

You see it's not plugged into the motherboard itself, rather the molex connector is. The two fan headers are already being used by the CPU fan and it's cooler.

Those fans just have 2 types of plugs, I have 4 of those style fans in my case right now, they just unplug right at the molex connector no need to cut anything. Since you don't have an extra fan header you will need to make sure the new fan you get has a molex style connector as well or better yet you can pick up a fan splitter (y-splitter) and put both fans from the aio on the cpu header and your new system fan on the system fan header. If you go with the splitter route the fan you replace your current one with can be 3 pin or 4 pin it won't matter because you have the header for it.
