How would I make this?

I'm looking into buying an NZXT Phantom 530, and while I was initially thinking about going with the straight white, I have a longstanding affection for crimson and gold. The red paint job on the case is a bit too candy-apple for me, so it looks like if I want it to look just so, I'll have to do it myself.

 

Problem is, aside from how to get that carbon fiber pattern (use a rug pad as a stencil), I have no idea how to actually do any of this. What paint do I use? Do I need to sand, and if so, what grit should I use? How do I detach the grills for painting? And how in the hell can I go about making and attaching that insignia?

For detaching the grills I belive you can just unbend the pieces that hold it to the side panel and other part to take these out, and for the sanding I would go with some 600~1000 grit in order to finely grit it and have more grip for the paint.

For the logo, well... that's gonna be difficult, and I personally i would print the logo, and try to copy it onto the case with a pencil, then mask out the outside of the shape and finally paint the shape gold.

As for the carbon fiber look, maybe you can find some colored carbon vinyl wrap.

For the general painting is not that hard to do. I've modded some cases in the past and with just a little bit of practice with spray paint cans will do the job. Of course, my preference is Krylon. For the insignia I would reccomend doing an stencil in photoshop, and then painting it with more Krylon.

I know this isn't as fun as painting but it might turn out better and it's definitely easier.

for the logo you could use auto air masking, it behaves like masking tape but on a bigger scale, other then that the other suggestions sound grate

and the logo should take like 20 minutes at the max to do from start to finish
