How does this laptop look for portability and power?

https://www.asus.com/Notebooks_Ultrabooks/ASUS_VivoBook_S550CM/#specifications

I use after effects & photoshop, I play minecraft & GMOD.

It would give me CUDA acceleration and the power of a dual core i7.

Its refurbished for $660 on newegg and Im thinking about buying it.

Thanks!

If you can find me a better laptop with simillar features and better performance at the same price, Id be happy to take suggestions!

Why do you need a laptop when you have your sonic screwdriver?

Well when you are away from the tardis and you need some more power, or if someone take your sonic, you can use a laptop.

I'd look for a laptop with a better GPU.

Might be worth looking into:

Over your budget, but this laptop would probably be a good improvement in performance http://shop.lenovo.com/us/en/laptops/ideapad/y-series/y410p/

it's somewhat temporary. I've been eyeing the website a lot and the y410p has been around $750 for about a month or so

Ok, I'll keep tabs on it.

Oh, you're right... I thought it had a 650m

I think the newegg price is temporary also. I'd go with the y410p too. It's better in ever respect. The 635m is a fermi card (meaning super hot and power hog), while the 750m is just better.

I'll also be able to add another GPU later.
