SLI 980ti.

Hello there!

I normally wouldn't recommend people bother with attempting any kind of SLI configuration if there using what is considered a mid range/low end card. But with a enthusiast grade card such as the GTX 980ti, it becomes a different story.

 

So I as of the current have an  EVGA GeForce GTX 980ti FTW. If I were to purchase another of the same card, used, from the likes of Ebay UK or CeX, it would be around £300. With that, an LGA 1150 motherboard supporting Nvidia SLI being around £90.

 

My plans were to save now for the motherboard and I will hopefully have another within the next two months, and then once Christmas comes around and my birthday just before I will get enough from family and so forth to get another 980ti.

 

Does anyone have any other recommendations for as to of what I can do rather than SLI? I don't want to go really near £500 if possible as that is getting pricey.

 

The only other thing I may consider is waiting for the GTX 1070ti, but then again I would imagine that it will probably be more expensive over what I plan to do now.

The fuck? hope this is real 1060ti boost in performace will be good, I would reccomend the 1070 or ti depending on how it releases and what price, but honestly a single gpu will provide more performance because it dosent need to scale across 2 cards and it will have more stability. what I mean by more performance is more consistant performances

Sell 980Ti for ~£300 and then combine that with the £500 you plan on spending and get a 1080Ti

you can get 980ti for £200-240
