avoid clones of Shittyhawk, avoid Gigabyte mobos.

Get either MSI B350 Carbon (i had painful issues) or Asus Strix B350-F (i got instead of Carbon) and i fairly highly recommend it

Why dont you like gigabyte boards?

I hear a lot of good reviews for the Tomahawk board though?

Oh my focken gawd.

Forget nooby reviews where they "measure oc performance" with comparing Cinebench score difference

Tomahawk is pure asstrash from both hardware (VRM) and Software (BIOS) depts

Don't buy Apple M1 computers with 8GB of RAM

I saw a few posts recently cautioning people away from Gigabyte because they had a bios or two which was overvolting chips massively (1.6v).

I'm looking for a motherboard that is for overclocking and mainly for gaming

Asus Strix B350-F or MSI B350 Carbon.

I would pick Asus, it has clear lead on the software side of things

I'd say there are better options than the Tomahawk at a similar price. I mean, it will cut it, but the VRMs would run much hotter than usual.

For boards similar to price as the Tomahawk, the ASRock AB350 Pro4/Gaming K4, and the Asus Prime B350 Plus have pretty solid VRM for their price points. I suppose a 1600X would OC to 4GHz fine on those, but it'll kinda be a stretch with an R7 at 4GHz tho, should you so desire to upgrade, without putting a fan over the VRMs.

If you want the better ones, yea, the Asus Strix B350-F or the MSI B350 Gaming Pro Carbon/Krait Gaming are the best B350 boards, power delivery-wise.

No, X370s then.

These are the only usable B350s.

Asus Strix/ MSI Krait and Carbon

The ASRock has worse onboard LAN, Audio and VRM, basically everything, but stil better than GBT and cheap MSI
