M.2 SSD boot drive reformatting

Jack_arcomes

At the start of the year I built my first PC and it has been great for me. But due to moving out for uni next year, my new work space is going to be cramped and the Phanteks Enthoo Pro M I am currently using will be to big for the new space (I have been there on a open day and the desk space is not wide enough for my monitor, PC and stationeries) . So I am rebuilding my PC in an mini-ITX form factor to save some space and I will re-using as many parts as possible but getting better stuff at the same time. As I am new to PC hardware, will need to reformat my Intel 600P series 256 SSD (which is my current boot drive) to work with my new hardware?

Also will having two NVME SSD's impact my PC's preformance?
