Hey guys, I'm nearly done with my build. These are the current specs

- Amd ryzen 5 1600 CPU

- MSI A320M GRENADE Motherboard

- Shitty graphics card, won't even mention.

- 550W Corsair power supply, non modular

- Fractal design focus g mini black case

So the issue is that my PSU is not fully modular and it has molex cables and I'm finding it difficult to cable managet from the back and there's a also a fan cable port near the graphids card which is annoying. Any cable management tips for my case?

Pull all the unused cables out the side through the large hole between the psu and drive bay. Pull them all the way out and put a tie/strap around the bunch of them where they exit the hole. Collect all the ends together and put another tie just below the shortest. Run the cable collection up beside the case interface cable(s). Use ties at the bottom and the top. Fee the excess into the External drive bay.

If the warranty is expired and u have some good soldering skills.

Open the power supply and just disconnect the molex cable..

If u dont then just tie with with cable ties and shove em inside.

The back of the case is kinda thin and I don't wanna risk opening a PSU

Using electrical tape, route each cable along the back and then pin it down with the tape. By doing this you reduce the "clumping" of cables and keep each area as flat as possible, its a pain and isn't the best looking, but what it does is spreads the surface area of the cables so when you put on the side paneling it goes flush.

Looks disgusting

A number of options.

  • If you feel confident doing so, carefully remove the connector at the end of the fan cable, slide a shrink wrap tube over the wires, re-attach the connector and shrink the tube.
  • Wrap the fan wires in black (or some other color) electrical tape
  • Get a black extension fan cable
  • Get a fan power cable and run the fans directly off the psu
