odd bios hang.

crissyfox

Hello so i am having an inconsistent error with my computer. for some reason it crashes and then it refuses to post until i reset the bios. afterword it boots up almost as if nothing has happened. a couple times acting like windows was just suspended, restarting with my programs open, and even tabs in my firefox. its running default settings.

computer is an alienware area51 7500 r5
mobo: evga 680i sli nforce
cpu: qx6700

graphics card: pny gtx 970
ram: 8gb pc2-6400 G.Skill
psu: thermaltake tr2 600w
cooler: stock alienware
hd: 1 tb WD Caviar Green, 500gb seagate

other: 2 dvd/rw

its a mix of old and 'new' components, the mobo, cpu, cooler, hd's and dvd drives are original. the video card i bought 3 months ago used. and the psu is brand new, only a couple of months old, and the computer was having this post error the whole time i have had it.

also need to replace that HDD with an SSD as your boot drive. rip

edit: don't forget to just copy everything useful off of it, just because... might explode on you some day in the near future.

not a whole lot of jobs in my area, and those that are hiring have a ton of competition. and there are many people more skilled than i.
