I ordered the ASUS prime b350 plus. It has 3 fan headers. The case it's going into is an inwin 101 with no drive bays to instal a fan controller. I'm wondering if it's safe to either use the 2and 1 fan cable splicer or a fan hub running off of a 4pin connector.

Yes you can use a fan splitter if you need more headers, a good rule of thumb is to not go over 3-4 fans per header depending on the fans of course.

These are the fans I'm getting. Is the CPU fan header dedicated exclusively for the CPU fan? Or can I split it?

You can use a splitter on the CPU fan header but note that if they are only 3 pin fans it will run full speed as the CPU header is defaulted to be 4 pin PWM control. You can configure it within the BIOS accordingly as needed.

What about something like this?

That works but only for 4 pin PWM fans since it take external 12V power and splits the PWM signal to all those headers. If your just putting 2-3 fans per header something like this will suffice.

I thought the CPU fan header was 3 pin and the other two headers 4 pin. That would mean I would need one splitter that uses 3 pins? The fans can plug in to either connection
