i have prepared a USB drive with a custom BIOS flash ready, but i need a BIOS file to flash. The guide im using (https://www.bios-mods.com/bios-update/), says i need to find a file, called "bios.rom". Ive been looking everywhere, but cant find anything. Has anyone done this before?

Sounds like you're making it more complicated than it actually is.  Go to your motherboard makers website and look in the Support / Downloads section.  Generally, you'll download a zip file with a program inside to run, or you copy the files to a usb drive and tell your bios to update.

I guess I shouldn't have assumed you were dealing with something modern, like an actual Intel or AMD board made in the last year or two.  With a proprietary Dell board, I don't have a clue.  Maybe check Dell's website, enter in a serial number or something.
