Coolant changed colors.

Using ek pastel red. Isn't the first batch of distilled water to be ran with the loop. Happened once before. Was fine for months. Kept adding parts over time. 

 

Dont recall the diluting procedures but I assume 1:4 maybe. 

 

I know I wasn't using enough of it but is that the cause or is there something else? Only blocks I took apart last time where the gpu's. looks like new. I normally use distilled and a kill coil like my other rig. So still new to coolants overall. 

 

Advice/suggestions?

If you take the fluid out use a PH kit to test it to see if it changed, the fluid should always be barely basic so around 7-8PH.

Ok, should have a kit in the shed. Turning acidic or what?

Usually the fluid will turn acidic from the metals or coolant/additive reacting from what I've seen.

Are you using a kill-coil with nickel blocks? If so, you have galvanic corrosion discoloring the loop.
