I managed to raise up $100 and found a speaker sets and I don't know if I should buy it. I'm going for a black, red, and white theme so if you have any suggestions try to fit into that. The one I found is the Bose - Companion 2 Series III. I just wanted to know if that was the best option. I have a max of $100 to spend. Also should I save money and go with the Logitech Z200?

Call it audio snobbery or whatever, but both Bose and Logitech are not well-regarded brands by either audio production or audiophile camps in this price bracket and usage (and some others, though they do some good things elsewhere like Bose's active noise cancellation being best-in-breed in the headphones space), compared to what else is out there. I don't know about the Z333 or Companion 2 Series III specifically, though. I do know the Z313 for whatever reason is intentionally tuned with an aggressive EQ that makes things sound bad, though the effect could be positive sometimes and can be initially impressive.

The Mackie CR3's green rings would clash in terms of color and the M-Audio AV32 is similar but maybe a little better anyway. For very slightly over budget the Micca PB42X is better.

Going cheaper and lower quality, if you have the space, there's always the Dayton B652 (~$30) paired with some ~$25 T-amp like the Lepai LP-2020Ti. It's even larger so check the size.

The Mackie CR3 also comes in white rings.
