Cpu or Gpu

Thue500

Hello I would like to upgrade one of my items, but I can't really decide if it would be best to upgrade my cpu or gpu. The gpu I have been looking at has been the Vega 56 or a Gtx 1070 primarily the one I can get for det best price. Or if I should buy a new Cpu where I have been looking on a Amd Ryzen 5 1600. Or if you have another idea.

My current build is this: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8Mjyhq

The Gpu I'm thinking of buying is this one: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/j8rcCJ/asus-geforce-gtx-1070-8gb-video-card-rog-strix-gtx1070-o8g-gaming

The Cpu combo is these ones: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/GrZRcc

Well, if you change your CPU, which I recommend, you will be changing the MoBo and the ram because ddr is not supported on b350 boards. Also get the Asus prime b350 plus. It's awesome!

Just don't like the color scheme of that motherboard :) not really a fan of red, but still have a Msi product.

But I will take your comment in to a consideration!

The 1070 should provide a noticeable increase in framerate while reducing heat noise and power consumption. Though if he plays well multithreaded games the CPU could be a better choice.

MSI is  just not as good as asrock/Asus. I was also helped in this situation by a user which name I forgot. So try as rock or asus

Theres is the problem I have after I have gotten my new screen which is ultra wide i'm not able to play BF1 because my cpu bottlenecks also the same in Cities Skylines (even tho I know it isn't the most optimized game) but if I look at a game like Warframe that I like a lot I would get much more enjoyment out of a new Gpu.

I would recommend the CPU. But I would also recommend faster ram (and if able, more of it).

I'm just a real big fan boy of Asus as I have been using their products for a long time with no problems, but with no doubt asrock and msi is also good to.

If I am going to buy a new cpu I would probably also get the fastest ram I can get as AMD really loves good speed. And I will just start of by 8gb and upgrade to 16 later on.

Actually I think it defaults to the last country I selected no matter which one you selected. So my fault for just assuming.

Then it's just up to what games you prefer :)

Just remember switching to AMD would require new RAM and motherboard also.

If I stay with intel i still need to upgrade motherboard and RAM because I only have a 4th gen cpu.
