I don't think it is a PSU issue.

Honestly, that's textbook "The PSU can't output 1000W anymore" stuff that happens when a crappy PSU degrades. I'd say a new PSU will likely solve your problems. You've mentioned your motherboard and it is possible that your board took a little too much abuse from the dying unit, but it's not terribly likely.

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Thank you so much for your help. I'm going to RMA the psu and board and buy a better psu like the tx850m and a z270-ar instead of the z170 ar. Will sell RMA replacements on ebay
