NZXT Kraken x52 vs x62 Difference large enough to Justify Buy?

Hey guys!

I'm putting together a new PC with a 7700k (or waiting for 8700k) and wish to cool with an AIO.

Love the aesthetics of the Kraken series so was planning to go with either the x52 or x62.

Unfortunately, the case I like (Lian Li PC-O8WX) only has 120mm fan support, thus limiting myself to the x52.

Is the cooling performance between the x62 and x52 big enough to justify changing my case for the x62?

Additionally, if 8700k thermals are similar to the 7700k, would the x52 allow enough headroom for a significant OC?

Thanks for the help!

X52 should be good enough if you pair them with some nice fans.

Which fans would you recommend? Would love to go with some Noctua fans but the colors clash with my build... RGB, white, or black is what I need.

Curse you Noctua and your poorly match-able beige/brown fans!

Corsair's ML series fans are really damn good, but also really damn expensive.

I'd recommend you try the stock fans, see if you're limited by temps, and then buy some more expensive fans if you're running too hot.

IDK too much about great fans, so take anything I say with a grain of salt.

A dual pack of the corsair ML non-pro should be around £23, worth it IMO and the colours should be alright for your build
