Nvidia Driver Error?

Hello, I have recently had this problem from the new nvidia driver update. I downloaded driver 385.41 for my MSI GT73VR 7RE Titan. It has a Gtx 1070 and the newest driver works like this now. Whenever I turn off my computer, my games that normally get high frames suddenly get super low. Such as PUBG playing from 90 fps on high settings going down to 25 fps on high or low settings after the laptop restarts. Any kind of tips and tricks to get out of this pickle?

Sounds like an overheating issue but eh. Do what @PCNoobie says first.

"May your frame rates be high and your temperatures low"

I misread titles/posts way too often--correct me if I don't.
