M.2 Causing Crash!? plz help

I have come to a conclusion that my Samsung 960 EVO 250gb m.2 is causing my pc to have I full shutdown when it hits 34-38c (suppose to shutdown when at 60c for self preservation). If you are asking how I came to this conclusion I did something a little geto and put a fan in front of the thing and benchmarked my pc to simulate gaming. 

tests:

1) did a bench with no fan blowing directly on the m.2

result: crash at 35c

2)did a 15min bench with fan

result: no crash

3) held the fan on m.2 for 5min then proceeded to remove

result: crash when drive hit 34c

 

If you have any questions or suggestions for a fix please do tell thank you all!

I would return the EVO for another due to possibly faulty probe.

thank you for responding and this is what I was concerned of, but nice to have a second opinion however.

I"m using the 500GB model and haven't experienced any crashing related to temps, but your case is likely due to a faulty probe.

But, I have to say it is strange that the m.2 is saying it's at 34c and shutting down
