Conputer hanging on configuring widows update

i just did a fresh install of Windows and when i turn the system of it installs the Windows update. Then when i turn it back on it says configuring Windows update but stays at 0% the after 5 minutes it says it failed and is referring changes then I can sign in anyone know a fix

Once you log into Windows, open Windows update and find out which update(s) failed to install and post the KB number(s) along with your specifications. Is this computer pre-built or did you build this machine yourself?

it would take a couple hours to get all the kb numbers because almost all of the updates say that they failed. I built this machine and have had it for a couple years and because of another problem i had to reinstall windows a few days ago. 

 

the specs are CPU: I7 5820k |Cooler: H80I v2 |GPU: ASUS STRIX gtx 980 ti |PSU: Corsair hx850

Wow. Yeah that is pretty bad. Try following some of the steps listed here.

 

Updates failing in mass is a new one to me. Hopefully one of these methods can help you. If not, re-installing (again) may be the only option.
