Please help with memory DDR4

Am looking for DDR4 memory ram, motherboard is the Asus Rampage VI Apex x299 with a i9 7900x cpu. Will be doing a lot of video editing and playing games, there's so much memory rams out there can't decide. Am looking to go for 32GB of ram can you please recommend any good one, money is not a issue also don't know if low speed with lower timings would be better or higher speed with high timings?

corsair vengance ram is always a good choice

Corsair dominator platinum and g skill trident Z RGB memory are generally good choices when it comes to high speed memory.

Thanks, yea I was looking at the g skill trident Z RGB they go high as 4266MHz would it be better to go for speed over timings (latency) ?

Timings are measured in number of clock cycles. So if you had a 3000 MHz cl14 kit and a 3200 MHz cl14 kit the 3200 MHz kit would have lower cl latency.

 

So while timings are increasing with the higher frequency kits so is the frequency, which means actual latency is still about the same, but you get more bandwidth.

 

At the same time though I don't think the skylake x IMC is good enough to reach 4266

Like what @DocSwag said, if you need that extra bandwidth for higher capacity workloads such as video rendering and if your all about achieving higher frequencies, than the higher frequencies should help you a little bit, but not by much. Also, the RGB heatspreaders on the trident Z memory look quite nice too!
