Take it to the vet though and it can be cremated if you want.

Sorry for the loss, I remember when my cat died a few years ago, one of the few times I started to tear up. He died in the front lawn in front of me one day after I got home from school.  :(

Hard to just not think about it (especially when it JUST happened) and it's also not good to keep it inside. So best thing to do is just let out all of your emotions. It's still very fresh so your emotions will be all out of whack, but don't be afraid to cry. It'll be hard to think of life without your best bud anymore, but you accept it overtime. And think of the good times you had, don't keep thinking of the stuff you can't do anymore.

 

My dog passed away one year ago today and I was a mess for a while when she passed, but I'm ok with it now. Still think of her a lot though.
