Yo, I am thinking of doing an upgrade on my current system, any suggestions?

My current build

Thinking it should maybe be a new PSU and CPU cooler, but yeah feel like the build is running good overall.

Don't think a new graphics card will be needed, but the rest is starting to get a tad dated.

Budget is around 200-300 USD. So probably not a new CPU either, but feel free to post if you feel I would benefit from an upgrade there.

This is 90% of the time a gaming pc and 10% workstation, so i have been thinking about a new monitor as well.

Anyhow, tips are really appreciated.

From 2001-2014 I had 156Kb/s Down and 0,02 Kb/s up. Now I have 35/35 Mb/s, it has truly changed my life.

The 4790k is a perfectly capable CPU even today. Maybe look at the coming CoffeeLake chips since they are going to be 6 cores and that would help with the workstation work, but otherwise your system seems perfectly good. The CXM gray labels are good enough PSUs and unless your chip is running hot then I wouldn't suggest getting a new cooler. If it is running hot I would check out the H100i.

Have you noticed any performance that you would consider not acceptable? Otherwise theres no reason to upgrade just because "Its upgrade time". Instead use the current rig until you notice a deficit of performance as you'll always get more for your money tomorrow than you will today. (That is until Miners take over the rest of the pc market)

CPU: I5 4590 Motherboard: ASROCK H97 Pro4 Ram: XPG 16gb v2.0 4x4 kit  GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 PSU: EVGA 550w Supernova G2 Storage: 128 gb Sandisk SSD + 525gb Mx300 SSD Cooling: Be Quiet! Shadow Rock LP Case: Zalman T2 Sound: Logitech Z506 5.1 Mouse: Razer Deathadder Chroma Keyboard: DBPower LED

Well heat can be an issue, not sure if its the cooler or the motherboard that is funking things up. Never overheats, just makes a lot of noise, prefer a build to be as silent as possible.

@Necrodor21 Well I have thought of getting a new pair of headphones or a new mouse, but both work fine so not sure if I want to spend money there yet. Thx tho :D

Then upgrading to something like a H100i would probably be your best bet
