mods, this is in one way a repost seeing as its regarding the exact same issue, i am mainly doing a new one to rephrase and update the question. feel free to merge if you feel this is breaking the rules.

So. Computer isnt booting. found through booting on a windows USB stick that i could google error 80004001 if a reboot didnt help. it sure didnt and neither did googleing it so im wondering if anyone has any experience with this error and how to fix it. the computer just shuts off when trying to load windows off my SSD, i have tried sevral SATA ports and takeing appart the computer to reset the CMOS is too much work(4h or more) because of the watercooling and really shitty drainage system i build into it. i have checked power cables for the SSD at both ends, i have checked SATA at both ends. no overclocks on anything, probably the latest BIOS and the OS is windows 10 home.

i rebuilt the basement part of the loop, left the computer to try off after filling and spilling water over it, and now after its all dry(wiped off most of it before leaveing it) its not booting. it gets to the windows 10 logo, stays there for 2-3 seconds and then powers off. nothing in system repair has helped, it has all either failed or not found problems. the SSD is right around one year old and hasent shown any signs of degradation last time i checked.

thanks for any replies and any help :D

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

does it boot to windows recovery?

can you try repair from your windows install usb/dvd?

if you can't access try turning it on and immediately turn it off as soon as it starts rolling the dots and loading windows.. do this two times in a row, and it should boot to windows recovery  directly.. it's not my most recommended solution, but it works in a pinch..

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?

the fastest and most painless method is to just get ubuntu or similar and a disk with enough space, backup the files from your old C: drive that you need and reinstall from fresh

yah i have mint on a 1TB HDD just laying around. might actiually do a dual boot or something so i can not have to use Windows for most of what i do if i can just find a painless enough way to switch between them. il see if i can do something in the command prompt, if not il check all the cables again, and if i cant get it to boot after that il probably just reinstall... -_- god damn you windows, why do you fail me

no water/glycol mix has gotten on the RAM. possiably some on the motherboard but ASRock coats their boards to be spil proof

Ok, then, your description of the issue matches the usual behaviour on a mother that was replaced to one with another chipset or a cloned drive that went to a different PC.

The easiest way i know to wipe out the drivers is a clean Windows installation
