So okay.. i just noticed something. I have an old laptop with a resolution of 1440x900 but the display on it is kinda too sharp.. like you can see jagged edges on letters bigger than 12pt and when watching a 480p video, it looks dull. Then I jusy tried to plug it in my tv and pretty much everything is smooth and the 480p video looks like 720p or something but the resoultion i used on the tv is also 1440x900.. why is this so? Kins of a dumb question but i just wanna know haha

because you're looking at the tv from afar, your eyes cannot see the individual pixels where on the laptop screen you can see the pixels because you are looking from it closely

thats why you can see the text and the jagged edges, its not being sharp, its being low res

Ryzen 5 3600 stock | 2x16GB C13 3200MHz (AFR) | GTX 760 (Sold the VII)| ASUS Prime X570-P | 6TB WD Gold (128MB Cache, 2017)

Samsung 850 EVO 240 GB

138 is a good number.

That's not quite it because, i know its kinda dumb, I looked at the tv as if it was a monitor and the change is still noticable. Well, lol, as long as I can watch my videos, then I'm fine xD

Everything gets blurred on the TV because it's being upscaled. If the laptop's at native resolution then it won't have that effect on the built in display.
