Better CPU for Adobe programs?

So, i want to upgrade from my i7 4790k to a more powerful CPU. i work on more intensive Adobe programs like After Effects and Premiere Pro, and i experience stuttering cause i use pretty demanding effects. I am interested in getting an AMD Threadripper 1920x. But is it well optimized for Adobe programs? Or should i get a Intel CPU? Any help will be greatly appreciated. :)

If you are willing to spend on Threadripper then go for it. Ryzen 7 is already good enough IMO, but if you use these apps a lot then the extra speed should come in handy.

You should consider those CPUs with higher core count without compromising the base clock. a base clock of around 2.7-3 ghz would be enough for editing with maybe 6-10 cores depending on what type of footage you render.

I'm a fan of Intel

Whatever the current 6 core i7 is, mine is the 5820K and is a truly fantastic CPU for Adobe & Autodesk applications
