So I was just watching a yt video and my monitor went off for a second then came back on then started to do it every few seconds. I connected the display port to a different out put and it seems to have stopped. Only had both for about 14 months now. Since changing the dp output port seems to have fixed it is there any way I can test the port to make sure it's the issue?

can you borrow a laptop with dp output? or bring your monitor to someone with a computer with dp outputs?

Have you tried to perform a sudden temporary interrupt of the electricity flow to your computational device followed by a re-initialization procedure of the central processing unit and associated components?
