BRICKED MOBO?!

so I was updating the bios of my Toshiba satellite a665-3dv8 as it was quite unstable. I opted for the update via windows (Windows 10 Pro). The bar started loading. It was plugged in to the wall at the time but no battery cos it died. It was almost done, it was writing 'programming...' something then suddenly screen went black. I checked my power source and realized the fuse got blown so  . i plugged the laptop back in and tried to power it on. no response. it is notable that only the plug in light was on. what do i do now? am i just super unlucky or what. there is no warranty for my laptop anymore so did i just brick it? are there ways or services to allow me to restore my laptop to working order? Thanks, any help would be welcome.

Your motherboard might have a second bios if you're lucky (common on newer boards), but I doubt it in your case. Have you tried redoing the BIOS from a thumbdrive? Don't forget to have a read through your manual if you have one.

you may be able to replace the BIOS chip with a working version of the BIOS, some people have been able to replace these (on various different devices) this could be possible, but might prove to be more expensive than purchasing a new one

True. Hey, maybe the beginning of a new build
