Looking to upgrade laptop

I am looking to upgrade the ram from 4 gb to 12 gb (I need 8 more gb of ram).  I am also looking for an M.2 slot ssd that is around 250 gb.  Can anyone give me suggestions of what to buy?  I am not experienced with upgrading laptops.

I don't think that laptop has an M.2 slot.

also, it probably only has 2 SODIMM slots, so either 8 or 16GB of memory.

For the RAM, you could grab an 8gb stick of SODIMM. I'd recommend ddr4 but if that's too expensive you can buy ddr3 (i assume that's what is already in the laptop). A good ddr4 stick would be some hyperx impact or kingston value. For ddr3, kingston is affordable. What is your budget for the SSD?

Correction, it already has ddr4, so grab some ddr4.

You're gonna want to get ram with a speed that matches what you already have, so bear that in mind. As a brand, crucial is good. In terms of ssds, the 850 is fine, but if you want you can spent $25 more and pick up a 960 evo, which is lightning fast. Of course im assuming USD.

Nah, its cool. I brainfarted earlier on another post and recommended using RX 580s in SLI...
