Has anyone ever gotten a 1000mhz plus overclock on the memory of one of these cards? The msi afterburner wont go higher and I was shocked it went that far. I was only able to get 135mhz on the core before frame stutering or a crash even with a slight overvolt as I haven't found anything on how far I can go safely on this card. Its the 1050ti LXR8 by pny.

Generally, you shouldn't be expecting those kind of jumps in overclocking. It certainly is possible, but every graphics card is different. Just incrementally bump up clock speeds until you get a crash, then up the voltage and power limits and repeat.

Power and thermal limit is maxed out, right where it starts to crash I tried up to 60mv overclock and didn't help, voltage is about the only thing I don't like getting to crazy with, it didn't get hot so I know I can go more. I just would like to know some limits of this card so I don't go to far amd damage it. Maybe I'm just screwed on the clock speed. But it still runs 1989mhz on the core so not that big of deal.

Well, by the looks of it you've already pushed the card to its maximum. I'd advise that you keep it there.

I was able to achieve a similar overclock on the memory of my PNY XLR8 model, but at the cost of screen tearing in game, as well as reduced core frequency overclock. At least in my case I think there is a bios lock on power delivery, even with the supplemental power in. At most, I've been able to achieve about 106% power delivery. When I reduce my memory overclock, I am able to get core frequencies above 1900mhz.GPU.PNG.9b2be9a45db8cc30bfa61d0342459410.PNG

Adjusting the core voltage in Afterburner, has not yielded an results as of yet. I am also not really all that anxious to flash the bios of a card I managed to snag for less than $120 from Best Buy of all places. I am happy with the performance this has given, in combo with my Ryzen 1500x.

Yeah for sure man, I wish I could trade some of my memory over clock for more core frequency but it is what it is, and you're more or less running into the same thing as me, voltage doesn't really seem to do anything for the core clock on these cards. Best part is these things run ice cold, mine never goes over 70c at full load with 40% or less fan speed. Is that 120$ US? I just bought mine a few days ago fpr 175$, I see them as low as 155$ on new egg but 120$ is a steal.

It was $120 US. I think adorama or b&h had one drop on sale wicked cheap, so I had bestbuy pricematch it, then used $10 in rewards. So I only paid $110 cash, but spent way more then that to get the $10 coupon haha.
