HD PVR Problem with USB!

Heyy Guys, I have a HD PVR and am trying to record some xbox gameplay with it.  However, its all working fine untill I plugin the USB cable coming from the PVR, the my TV cuts off and there is no signal coming from the HD PVR.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, using a different version of windows etc. Still no luck :(
