Hello guys!

I am sorry if this question has been asked a lot but I just have a quick question:

My current set up has a i5-3550 quad core with an Asrock extreme pro4 (I believe) and I do want to upgrade for all the next gen games.

Should I upgrade to an i7-4770k and a MSI z87-g45 or should I just get the LGA 1155 version of it? Sorry if its confusing!

I plan on trying to OC because I have always wanted to try it out, and also I am starting to do video editing and streaming

your GPU is really what u should be upgrading over the processor imo although i have no idea what GPU u have.xD

editing doesnt seem to important right now to justify a 4770k tbh

ok yea thats a pretty good GPu then xD

dont hurt me when i say this but the 8320 is a pretty solid chip as well and its at an insanely low price atm. just take it into consideration

Since you already have a motherboard. Get a 3770K. If you're live streaming it'll help a lot. If not stick with your I5 and get a capture card. (You I5 cam be overclocked via multiplier)

My i5 is a locked version, and my motherboard doesnt support multi GPU's

Multi GPU? A capture card is a separate device away from a GPU. Also even locked CPU's have a multi that you can turn up to get some more performance out of it. I've gotten a 3330 to like 4.0 or 3.9 on the z77 chipset.
