At that clock? Sure. But overclock the 4770K and the 9590 won't be able to keep up.

Hey guys i was browsing through amazon and i noticed that the 9560 had dropped by 63% and is only 332 dollars!

is this CPU better then the 4770k for gaming wise?

Just get the FX8320 or 8350, it's the same CPU. Or an i5 4670K.

My rig: CPU: Intel core i5 4670K MoBo: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming RAM: Kingston HyperX Beast 2x4GB 1600mhz CL9 GPU: EVGA GTX780 SC ACX SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 256GBHDD: Western Digital RED 2TB PSU: FSP Aurum CM 750W Case: Cooler Master HAF XM OS: Windows 8 Pro

Architecturally, yes. But the 9590 is an eight core Piledriver chip that's been cherry-picked. Buying an 8350/8320 won't gaurantee anything but those frequencies.

But why would you need those frequencies? There is no bottleneck with any of those CPU's at stock clocks and vast majority will comfortably reach 4.5GHz or more.

The pc was built when they first came out (by dad) I just took ownership of it and did it up, it runs fine i guess but I'm keen on a new build soon
