file transfer speed problems

I just finished building my home server when i was moving files to it over the network i only got 15mbs both computers were wired. Is there anyway that i can setup the connections to go faster or is there something in windows home server 2011 i need to change.

Well first of all what speed is your network, is it 10/100 or gigabit ? 15 megabytes is around the maximum that a 100 megabit connection can handle

Does the server have a single drive or is there an array ?

If you are copying many various size files its normal that the speed dips.

Something wrong with your connection ?

Run the damn cable :)
