Phone dead?

I have (or probably had at this point) a Moto Z Play.

I found out there was a sticker applied to the back, the back is Gorilla Glass.

I did not want this sticker. I peeled it off, but the glue is some insanely strong industrial strenght one, I tried various things for many, many hours, vinegar, oil, etc. In the process I washed it many times (taking care to not let water come into ports but still). This was the dumbest move ever. it went into a bootloop. Eventually this stopped after a good while of drying it, I used it a bit when going to the toilet and then placed it on my bed and went to take a shower, I come back from the shower and the phone is dead. It refuses to turn on and it won't respond to a battery mod being attached to it, nothing at all, I can hold the power button all I like but it won't turn on.

Do you think it's dead for good due to water damage? There is no bulging battery for one.
